Nova Utd boosts Student Union RAG fundraising

A range of charities are set to benefit thanks to an ongoing partnership between Harper Adams University, its Students’ Union, and Nova United.

Newport’s Nova Utd marked their winter training season with a donation to Harper Adams Students’ Union RAG committee, showing their appreciation for being allowed the use of the University’s pitches over the past year.

Nova United Under 15s coach, David Nuttall, who also heads up Catering and Retail at the University, said: “Newport’s Nova United Football club have a long-standing relationship with Harper Adams University, which helps young aspiring footballers to keep active all the way through winter.”

He thanked the committee for enabling young Nova footballers to train throughout the winter months, and handed a cheque for £450 to HASU RAG representatives following this weekend’s training session.

The funds raised will be split between a range of charities being supported by the RAG fund – this year’s being Yellow Wellies and YANA.

And Nova Utd`s Chairman, Ted Bowen, added: “The facilities at Harper Adams University are invaluable to enable around 140 children to continue to train throughout the winter and early spring periods.”
